Bay Area Gangs

This one-day class examines bay area gangs and their far-reaching influence.  The course provides an overview of Latino, black, white, Asian and hybrid gangs.  Social media and crime trends are also examined. In addition, the influence of prison gangs on street gangs and the connections between gangs in different cities are covered.  The instructors bring a variety of law enforcement experience to the course including patrol, investigations and corrections, and provide a personal perspective from having grown up in some of the very gang infested communities in the bay area.
